Pathfinding

Hey, there!

Welcome to the second development log of SCP: Site Director, this one will be a pretty brief one as there is not much to discuss as I haven't really had time to work on the game this week, although I did do something that gave me a headache a few days ago.

So, what have you done - you may find yourself asking; well the answer to that question is pathfinding, as evident by the title. With this pathfinding system, you place nodes down to determined the path you would like your staff to go on patrol routes or the path you want the Class D personnel to take to somewhere like a cafeteria (there may not be a cafeteria in the final game but that is yet to be decided). Although it may be more complicated, it is drastically easier to customise your facility to your liking, with odd routes not being took by the characters with this system; thus the frustration is missing. I have also fixed some bugs and tweaked a few things to make it more optimal.

The trouble I had with implementing this features was with the character doubling back on itself, although I swiftly found a solution after I had a few days break to help my brain function "better".  The next task for me will either be post-processing graphics (better graphical quality), along with getting around to making the sprites look better or it might be something to do with containment breaches. Make sure to keep an eye out for the next weekly development log!

See you next week!
